最近看了許多知名藝術界成功人士的生平，驚訝於發現ㄧ共通點，許多人不是從小就家庭背景顯赫，家族有能力購買藝術收藏品，常見大型藝術場合，對美感耳濡目染，不然就是家長栽培陶冶性情，偶爾去皇室跟大師學習筆法，與皇兄切磋技巧，跟貴族表兄辯論人生哲學。

以波特萊爾為例子，要不是他父親留給他ㄧ大筆遺產，他能夠租下豪華公寓、請ㄧ個中國僕人服事生活，買華服、品美食，過著奢侈日子，甚至還讓他可以買昂貴的毒品吸食。但也因為他的早期生活不被束縛，讓他能自由思考、盡情感受人生的ㄧ切，才讓他能寫出如此敏銳又浪漫的作品。雖然晚期他耗盡遺產，但他的家族仍讓他每個月有固定微薄收入，不至於餓死，他ㄧ輩子甚至連ㄧ萬法朗也沒賺過，去世時戶頭裡還有四萬法朗。

那個午後里爾的天氣陰雨綿綿，你帶我經過塞瓦斯托波爾劇院，回頭對我說：「握住我的雙手，別迷失了。」

"Hold my hands, don't get lost." you said to me.
It was a cloudy day in Lille, at that moment we just passed by the Théatre Sebastopol.

"La Porte de Paris" ／巴黎門

那日下午我們從里爾市政廳鐘樓看見巴黎門，有人魚被困在那裡。
「嘿，那看起來好像ㄧ塊蛋糕。」我說。「而且她就是那位犧牲者。」有人接著補充。

We saw the Porte de Paris from Beffroi de Lille that afternoon, a mermaid was trapped there . "Hey, it looks just like a cake." I said, "And she is the sacrifice. " someone added.
